Harriet Krijgh, cello | Magda Amara, piano
This programme brings together three great composers who have made diverse yet equally important contributions to the cello repertoire – from classical elegance to the romantic, soulful soundscapes of the 19th century to late Romantic expressiveness.
At the heart of the programme is the intense interplay between two equal voices: the cello as a singing, breathing narrator – the piano as a supporting, shaping and sometimes orchestral partner.
